Sustainable water options for Adelaide
Sustainable Focus was commissioned to review water options for Adelaide under current and future scenarios of population growth and climate change and to recommend more sustainable strategies to cost-effectively meet Adelaide's water requirements, while achieving the best possible associated environmental and social outcomes. Sustainable Focus has undertaken numerous energy, water and environmental audits for clients including:
- Over thirty facility reviews for the City of Onkaparinga as part of Council's Green Buildings Initiative
- National facility auditing on behalf of the Red Cross
- Department of Education and Children Services: Energy audits of over 80 schools
- Local government: Energy and water audits of most metropolitan SA Councils of facilities including civic centres, libraries, swimming pools, depots, car parks, public toilets and community centres
- Flinders Medical Centre and Ambulance SA: Detailed lighting reviews
- Department of Environment and Heritage: Energy audits of offices and national park facilities
- Institute for Medical and Veterinary Science: Detailed lighting review of Administration complex followed by HVAC, hot water and filtered water reviews and the development of a business case for implementation
- Exergy Australia: More than 30 energy audits of office buildings around Australia
- Adelaide City Council: small business sustainability reviews covering water, waste and energy for over 15 businesses
- SERCO: Water review of Great Southern Rail trains and stations
- Adelaide Airport Limited: Water reviews of the new Adelaide International Airport terminal and other buildings
- Department of Premier and Cabinet: Energy audit of Hindmarsh Stadium and Government House
- Sport SA: Environmental audit for Sport SA's administration and training building
- Alice Springs Town Council: Energy audit of Civic Centre and Depot
- Cairns Regional Council: Energy audit of Gordonvale Pool
- Tatiara District Council: Environmental audit of council facilities through a participatory process
- Strategic water reviews for Glen Osmond Primary School and Booleroo Centre District School
