Simon McKay

Simon is an architect who combines the visionary with the practical. He has a varied and broad experience base in the building industry, having spent many years working as a carpenter / joiner in the UK before moving into a consultancy role with Faber Maunsels (AECOM) Sustainable Development Group. Simon’s consultancy experience includes passive design, energy efficiency, renewable energy, water conservation and general sustainability advice. Simon has undertaken research into building performance and was involved in the recent regulatory changes in the UK relating to fuel and power conservation and improving ventilation. Simon also has experience undertaking environmental sustainability ratings as an accredited BREEAM (Offices) and Code for Sustainable Homes assessor.

Simon holds a Bachelor of Built Environment - Architectural Studies, from QUT and a Masters in Science - Architecture, Energy and Sustainability, from the London Metropolitan University.
