Solar power
Solar panel prices are more affordable than ever with the Solar Credits Scheme and the feed-in-tariff. Solar credits are not means tested - all income levels are eligible as well as businesses.
The Solar Credits Scheme reduced the initial purchase cost of your solar panel system. The scheme replaced the $8,000 rebate that was available to households earning under $100,000. Consumers and businesses are eligible under the Solar Credits scheme, providing incentives for properties that are not primary residences.
The feed-in tariff allows you to sell excess power back to the grid from your solar system. You get paid over double for any surplus electricity your home generates during the day.
Solar hot water
Hot water accounts for about 25% of energy use in a typical household so switching to solar is a great option for the wallet and our climate. There is a $1,000 Commonwealth Government rebate (non means tested) available for solar hot water if you currently have an inefficient electric storage system.

Energy efficiency
While solar panels and solar hot water are great options, reducing the energy you use in the first place is the most cost-effective option. Sustainable Focus can provide expert advice on how to improve the energy efficiency of your property through lighting upgrades, air-conditioning replacement or control and insulation. Energy efficiency projects typically pay back the initial cost within 5 years and are a great financial investment.
Metering
Sustainable Focus can supply and install an energy and water metering system to suit the needs of all facilities. Our metering system can be expanded to incorporate a fully programmable control module/s. This allows for automatic isolation of equipment in a facility such as lights, air-conditioning etc.
