Sustainable Focus engaged to roll-out Adelaide City Council's CitySwitch campaign

CitySwitch is a national tenant energy management program based on the highly successful 3CBDs Greenhouse Initiative. The national roll-out of CitySwitch Green Office demonstrates the benefits of collaboration and cooperation between capital cities on issues like climate change.

CitySwitch aims to gain commitment from office tenants to adopt regular energy efficiency ratings with a goal of reducing their overall greenhouse gas emissions. Using the National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS) energy scheme (formerly Australian Building Greenhouse Rating), CitySwitch provides a structured way to achieve energy efficiency ratings, undertake business improvement programs to improve office energy efficiency and manage costs.

Adelaide City Council has adopted a goal of carbon neutrality by 2020 for the Corporation. Council has resolved to target its support for improving the environmental performance of commercial buildings through delivering programs which target tenants with a view to changing tenant behaviour.
