Sustainable Focus wins Sustainable Business of the Year award from the City Of Charles Sturt

In celebration of World Environment Day on Saturday June 5 2010, the City of Charles Sturt held an award ceremony on Friday June 4 to recognise and congratulate residents and businesses who are dedicating their time to protecting the environment.

Mayor Harold Anderson said the inaugural World Environment Day Awards demonstrated the importance of sustainable living.

"Through the CCS world environment day awards we are reminded that every positive action for the environment counts. These awards recognise the fantastic ways our community members are living in accordance with the environment and continue to promote sustainable living," Mayor Anderson said.

"We are proud to have all of these people as part of the community and see them as ambassadors for a greener future for this generation and future generations. Congratulations to all the winners and nominees!"

Jake is also part of the community group Hindmarsh Greening who picked up the award of Sustainable Community of the Year.
